Lupa to have a factory in Uruguay
Lupa, the Spanish startup, has announced that it will have one of its electric vehicle factories in Uruguay. The first two models to be produced will be the five-door compact (Lupa E26) and the van focused on the last mile distribution (Lupa E66). Later an SUV, the E137, will follow.
This factory will distribute throughout Latin America, focusing especially on all the member countries of the Southern Common Market, Mercosur.
With this arrival, Uruguay is at the forefront of electric and sustainable mobility and is also one of the few countries in the world together with Iceland, Costa Rica and Norway that supplies 100% with renewable sources, even exporting energy to Argentina.
The factory will start producing and delivering the first models in 2024 and will have a capacity of 20,000 vehicles per year. It will be a carbon neutral plant from the start, resource friendly, connected and flexible.

Magnifier will be characterized by selling your vehicles with and without battery. Something that will allow the customer to change model while maintaining their own battery, which will result in savings in the purchase of the new vehicle.

Lupa tendrá una fábrica en Uruguay
Lupa, la startup española, ha anunciado que tendrá una de sus fábricas de vehículos eléctricos en Uruguay. Los dos primeros modelos que se producirán serán el compacto de cinco puertas (Lupa E26) y la furgoneta enfocada al reparto de última milla (Lupa E66). Más tarde le seguirá un SUV, el E137.
Esta fábrica distribuirá a toda Latinoamérica, enfocándose especialmente en todos los países miembros del Mercado Común del Sur, Mercosur.
Con esta llegada, Uruguay se pone al frente en movilidad eléctrica y sostenible siendo, además, uno de los pocos países del mundo junto con Islandia, Costa Rica y Noruega que se abastece 100% con fuentes renovables llegando, incluso, a exportar energía a Argentina.
La fábrica comenzará a producir y a entregar los primeros modelos en 2024 y tendrá una capacidad de 20.000 vehículos al año. Será una planta neutra en emisiones de carbono desde su inicio, amigable con los recursos, conectada y flexible.

Lupa se caracterizará por vender sus vehículos con y sin batería. Algo que le permitirá al cliente cambiar de modelo manteniendo su propia batería, lo que se traducirá en un ahorro en la compra del vehículo nuevo.
